Job Summary
RE:GEN Academy is seeking a passionate and adaptable Employability / Personal Development Tutor to support individuals into sustainable employment within the construction and green skills sectors. Based at the Sunderland Skills Centre and covering the North of England, the role involves delivering engaging employability and personal development programmes, supporting disadvantaged groups, and working closely with industry professionals to create meaningful career pathways. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real social impact while contributing to the growth of future-focused construction and green skills training.

RE:GEN Academy is an employer-led skills provider, wholly owned by RE:GEN Group.
RE:GEN Group are main contractors, delivering refurbishment, retrofit and new build works to social housing providers across the North of England, directly supporting the decarbonisation of homes and the transition to a low-carbon economy.

This opportunity could suit someone with experience in employability, personal development, vocational training, construction, or green skills delivery.
Alongside delivering employability and skills development programmes, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of construction and green skills training, working closely with our qualified construction trainers to support learners into sustainable careers.
Daily Responsibility
Deliver engaging and high-quality employability, personal development, and vocational training programmes to young people and adults.
Support learners in developing confidence, motivation, workplace behaviours, and transferable skills.
Work closely with social housing clients and stakeholders to design and deliver pathways with a focus on disadvantaged groups and essential skills. For example, single parents, care leavers etc.
Induct new learners, set expectations, and monitor attendance, progress, and behaviour through 1-1 coaching.
Work collaboratively with construction trainers and industry professionals to provide sector-specific learning and progression opportunities.
Maintain accurate learner records in line with Government funding requirements.
Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials and learner experiences.
Keep up to date with developments in employability, construction, and green skills through CPD.
Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance standards are maintained at all times.
Experience & Skills
Essential
Experience delivering employability, vocational training, coaching, or personal development programmes.
Strong communication, organisational, and digital skills.
A passion for supporting people into employment, training, or career progression.
Experience engaging individuals from diverse backgrounds and supporting positive outcomes.
Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, Cert Ed or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA or equivalent).
Desirable
Level 2 Information, Advice & Guidance qualification or higher.
Knowledge or experience within construction, retrofit, or green skills sectors.
Experience working on Government-funded provision or employability programmes.
